Undefeated New Zealand prospect David Aloua (7-0-0,5 KOs) outscored Anthony McCracken (14-6-1,6 KOs) via split decision in ten rounds to capture the vacant WPBF Asia-Pacific Cruiserweight title on Friday at the Tattersalls Club at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Scores: 94-96 | 96-94 | 94-96.
24-year-old Aloua based in Sydney, Australia and handled by multiple world champion Anthony Mundine and his father Tony Mundine snr was an accomplished amateur and won the New Zealand national championships at heavyweight in 2009 and 2010 before turning pro earlier this year after representing his country in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India.
